Enterprise Software Pricing Research Library: 10 Primary Data Reports

The VendorBenchmark research library. 10 primary data reports built from a sample of 4,000+ enterprise software transactions across the trailing 36 months. Microsoft EA pricing data, Oracle pricing trends, cloud commitment benchmarks, cybersecurity discount ranges, AI platform negotiation data, and the annual state of software pricing report.

Every report carries the sample size, the time period, and the methodology. Each is gated behind a work email. Personal email domains are filtered to keep the data with serious procurement readers.

What is in the research library

The research library is the primary data layer behind VendorBenchmark. Each report distills the transaction sample for a vendor family, a benchmark category, or an annual trend question into a downloadable PDF for procurement leaders, finance leaders, and the CIO office. The reports do not recycle public list prices. They publish the discount ranges, the term structures, the ramp clauses, and the negotiation pressure points that the buyer side sees only after the contract closes.

Reports are free with a verified work email. We block personal email domains because the reports include sensitive contract mechanics that we only share with named procurement teams. If your domain is not corporate, contact advisory directly for access. For deeper subscriber data, including quarter by quarter movement and segment cuts, see the subscription tiers.

Reports are updated quarterly. Each PDF carries a publish date and a sample window. When you cite a report, you can verify the numbers against the methodology, which documents how the sample was built, how outliers were treated, and how benchmark ranges were calculated.

How the research is produced

Every research paper is built from the same underlying transaction sample we use for the vendor pricing index and the benchmarks pages. The reports differ in two ways. First, they cut the sample to a defined cohort: a vendor family, a benchmark category, an industry segment. Second, they pair the numbers with the named contract mechanics that drove them: Oracle ULA exit certification math, Microsoft EA price protection, SAP digital access document tiers, Salesforce ELA mechanics, ServiceNow tiered subscription packs, Workday subscription units, AWS EDP commitments, Google Cloud committed use discounts. The mechanics are why the same software costs different buyers different prices.

Each report is reviewed by a procurement analyst with named experience in the relevant vendor family before publication. Where a number is unusual, the report explains why. Where a sample is thin, the report says so on the methodology page and qualifies the range. We do not publish benchmark numbers below a sample threshold of five comparable transactions for vendor reports, twenty for category reports, and 200 for the annual industry report.
